Exeter’s lead actress

on March 19, 2012

Here is a bit of information about our lead actress in the procession, Emma:

Emma-Rose moved from Norwich to study Drama at Exeter University. She works as a freelance artist/facilitator, specialising in dance and theatre training. She attended Heather Millan School of Performing Arts, going on to perform nationally, gaining experience in various dance forms, physical theatre, commedia dell arte, Butoh and LeCoq. She is affiliated with Big Foot Theatre Company, DAISI, Magic Carpet, Vital Space Vital Signs, Devon Youth Dance, and Devon Youth Theatre. Further credits include: ‘Carmina Burana’, Northcott Theatre; Royal Albert Hall; Minack Theatre; ‘Judy the Musical’, Edinburgh Fringe; London Symphony Hall; Birmingham Arena; Lord Mayor’s Procession, Norwich; Theatre Royal, Norwich; and Norwich Playhouse. Next year Emma-Rose will be remaining in Exeter, taking her Masters in Applied Theatre.

Emma-Rose is very much looking forward to performing as the lead character ‘Lady of the Wind’ in the Exeter torch procession in May. Over the past three years she has felt that Exeter has truly become her home and feels there is no better way to represent the city than by the torch relay!Image
